METHODS

28 ADVANCED STUDIES, DAVID KUEHN
With a range of E flat 1 to f, as well as technical and musical challenges, this is a book for the top level tubists.

SOLOS

SERENADE, LAWRENCE WEINER
This is one to consider for a recital - the range is G1 to c' and all of it is used throughout. This piece has great musical possibilities.

SONATA, GARLAND ANDERSON
A memorial to the composer's brother, this is a major work. It will take persistence to work it up (G1 to e).

SONATA, THOMAS BENJAMIN
If you are strong in melodic interpretation, this will make a good recital piece (G1 to f').

SONARE PER TUBA E PIANO, NORMAN FRIEDMAN
This set of three short pieces in a modern style require an experienced performer (G1 to 3').

CONCERT ETUDE, LEROY OSMON
The five movements are in contrasting styles and will take a mature performer to bring out the music (Cl to e flat').

ENSEMBLES

DUETS AND TRIOS, J.S. BACH/AUGUSTINE
These 13 duets and 3 trios will work well in a student-teacher situation. The first part can easily be played on tenor tuba.

ALLEGRO FROM "EINE KLEINE NACHTMUSIK", MOZART/PEOPLES
This is a quartet for two tenor tubas and two bass tubas. Only the first bass tuba part requires an advanced high school player -the other parts are easier.

PROMENADE, EUGENE VASCONI
Another good, playable quartet for TTBB or TTTB.

SWING LOW, SWEET CHARIOT, arr. LOIS ALEXANDER
A crowd-pleaser, this requires four good players who will all need to prepare their parts before putting it together.

FUGUE IN G MINOR, J.S. BACH/PEOPLES
This quartet needs experienced players, advanced high school or collegiate students.

SOLFEGGIETTO, C.P.E. BACH/ROBERTS
TTBB or TBBB. This is a treat to listen to, and requires excellent counting skills, especially in the rests!

ARIA AND RONDO, DAVID POTTER
A trio at a fairly advanced level which keeps all three players busy.
